The Blackened M81 by Drew Estate is a collaboration born from the shared passion of three masters from vastly different worlds. James Hetfield—frontman, guitarist, and songwriter for the legendary band Metallica—joined forces with Rob Dietrich, master distiller and blender of Blackened Whiskey, and Jonathan Drew, founder and president of Drew Estate, to create this bold, flavor-packed cigar.
Two years in the making, the Blackened M81 represents a true expression of their collective artistry and dedication. It features a dark Mexican San Andrés wrapper, a USA Connecticut Broadleaf binder, and a filler blend of Nicaraguan and USA Pennsylvania tobaccos, resulting in a rich, powerful smoking experience.
Paying homage to Metallica’s roots, “M81” signifies Metallica and 1981, the year the band was formed, while “Blackened” takes its name from the opening track of the band’s 1988 …And Justice for All album.
