The story of H. Upmann The Banker dates back to 1844, when the brand’s German founders—both bankers—created a special cigar to present as gifts to their most distinguished clients. In 2014, Altadis set out to recreate that original blend, featuring an Ecuadorian Havana wrapper, a Nicaraguan Jalapa binder, and expertly aged Nicaraguan and Dominican fillers. The result is a medium-bodied cigar with bold notes of coffee and spice, honoring the legacy of the original creation.
