When the torcedores at La Gran Fabrica de Tabacos Drew Estate could no longer smoke Liga Privada due to limited supply, they set out to create their own blend using many of the same rare tobaccos—though from different vintages and primings. The result was so impressive that Drew Estate’s leadership decided to release it to the public in 2011 as the Liga Undercrown.
